DR. SHAUNAK DUTTA has 14 years of experience in surgery. A meritorious student of St. Xaviers school and college, Kolkata (deemed university at present). he is born and brought up in Kolkata. He graduated from Calcutta University in 2005 and underwent extensive training in General Surgery in Central Hospital, South Eastern Railway (BNR) and shifted to New Delhi to superspecialist in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the prestigious Army Hospital, Research and Referral (AH, R&R). He furthered his microvascular training at Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore and at BNR hospital, Kolkata. His main areas of interest are Aesthetic Surgery, Trauma & Hand reconstruction and microvascular surgeries. Presently he has less than 1 % failure- complication rate in AV Fistula creation for patients requiring dialysis in the last 600 consecutive surgeries spanning over the last 5 years.
